Perched along the Hooghly River, the new Super Centre captures expansive views of the water while quietly mirroring the adjacent Howrah Bridge -- carrying not cars, but shoppers, pedestrians, and hotel guests across a glass-lined promenade. This elevated passage frames both river and infrastructure, allowing each to be seen anew, and becomes a pedestrian bridge in its own right: suspended within the architecture, linking programs while offering moments of pause, gathering, and view.
Here, the infrastructural bridge is reflected in an experiential one -- more porous, more social, and more attuned to the rhythms of daily life. One spans water; the other spans experience.
